clay: kurinuki

I attempted 2 boxes, 1 cup, and 1 vase. I ended up wrecking every pot except a cup. It’s all learning, and next time I’ll know what not to do. The cup below is looking to me like a goblet.

And this week I’ve been window shopping and dreaming of how to re-organize my interior (i.e., get rid of superfluous stuff) and basically adhere to William Morris admonition: "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
And so when I return from Washington, D.C., I'll try to finish these little pins and magnets and zippered pouches.
I hope to find a ceramics wing in a Smithsonian museum for inspo.
