Quarantining: A Sunday of Flower Arranging and Strawberry Shortcake

The bouquets were looking a bit tired in our home, so on Sunday the hubs and I made new ones. He harvested our garden for his blaze of glory while I foraged flowers on my walk for my ordinary beauty.
Those fortnight lilies don't last very long, and I will have to discard them. But the dahlias have staying power. And for dessert later, I drank more wine and ate a birthday cookie from Lily's first birthday party. And six Good Humor ice cream bars. The whole box. So, no, not strawberry shortcake as a homemade dessert of fresh berries, sponge cake and whipped cream, but the quiescently frozen confection.
I must've been craving the comforts of junior high.
